"Mike,
The helmet looks great and has a great fit. As with all Riddell helmets, it will need a couple of days to mould properly to my head. Having said that I wore it at training last night for 2 hours and only had minor discomfort. As for the colour, Alan's description and my imagination weren't the same (who would have guessed) it is actually a royal blue coloured visor. It looks great though, unlike the colours on the (Shamrock/Riddell) web-site. About 5 people tried in on last night ................ Even the guys that have the new C##c##e said that the Rev fits better, even though it is a little heavier. This is a great helmet. It is the best lacrosse helmet I've ever tried on.
The only helmet I've worn that is better is the Revolution football helmet. The only reason it is better is because it has the inflatable bladder on top as well (Riddell development should include it in the Revolution II Lacrosse helmet, or offer it as an upgrade). The other difference I really, really like is the plastic on the Revolution. It feels stronger than the C##c##e and it has a better finish on it. The comment I received the most from my team mates was "$200!! Is that all??". They were expecting it to be around the same price as the C##, which is AU$###.
