No matter what anyone tells you, using them over the internet is NOT secure. We've seen it for ourselves how insecure these transactions can be. We were one of many whose card info wound up on a rubbish dump in Atlanta thanks to some moron in a credit card acceptance company screwing up.
Also the credit card acceptance companies charge between 3% and 7% on every transaction which with our margins we would have to pass on to you.
Plus the exchange rates the credit card companies give you is much worse than a bank so using a credit card would cost you money on both ends of the deal.
Oh and there's another little gem that we bet your bank and/or credit card company never told you about. Many credit cards have a fee hidden in the small print of your contract that allows the issuing financial institution to charge you on top of everything else for foreign currency purchases!! Bet you didn't know about that one did you!? On our own corporate card it's 1% of the gross amount - that's the final amount after exchange rate calculations are done and all other fees are added - which if we were paying for a $CAD2,000 uniform order for example (that's not that large an order really) would come to $CAD33+ when a bank to bank transfer would cost less in fees and have a better exchange rate! Consider that our corporate card is a 0% card with virtually no fees and you can imagine what some cards are charging people without them even knowing it because it's hidden in the final debited amount and in the small print!
We prefer to use the services of Jameson International Foreign Exchange Corp. who not only give us and our customers excellent rates but do not charge any service fees and payments through them are totally secure for all parties. You can pay us through them by making a transfer at any bank and the rates we secure are guaranteed for 4 business days so if the rates slip you're safe.
All orders must be paid in full up front.
We pay our manufacturers/suppliers up front and pass the discounts they give us for doing so on to you.
