These outrageous jerseys have been produced to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the Charity Bowl in Queensland, the first game of American football played in full equipment. The Ghosts teams - Bluesteel & Wardogs - are made up of players over 35 years of age, mostly retired from playing who have come together to raise money for the Qld Premier's Disaster Relief Fund and the Spinal Research Foundation by staging a very special game of football on August 6th, 2011 at Spencer Park, Newmarket in Brisbane.
The uniforms also celebrate the history of the game in Queensland by displaying the helmets of every senior and one league founding junior club in the state's history within their numbers and within each player's name.
Replica shirts, mini helmets, t-shirts and a host of other merchandise has also been produced for sale to raise more money for the charities and SPPSS is proud to say that every dollar of profit from those sales goes to the fund raising and the two very worthy causes.
